This is the story of The Biggest Lollie Shop In The World, Australia's original lollie and party superstore. Located in Westmeadows, Victoria.
The Biggest Lollie Shop In The World started over 40 years ago in 1980 when Managing Director Paul Gordon was a wholesaler and distributor in the cake and confectionary business.
As Paul's ambitions grew, two years later in 1982 he formed the first lollie store located at South Melbourne Market. By 1987 he opened his second retail outlet, Cool Hand Luke's Lollies located on Buckley Street, Essendon.
The business grew considerably and by 1995 Paul felt it was time for the business to expand and he opened a much larger warehouse called Dolphin Shadows Wholesale Confectionary located on Garden Drive, Tullamarine. Which catered not only to his retail customers but also to the wholesale customers.
Four years later Paul continued to grow the business by supplying businesses all over Melbourne with lollies and chocolates. It had come time they had outgrown the original warehouse in Garden Drive and decided to relocate to a larger premises in Westmeadows, Victoria. This time there was a 20,000 square foot space to unleash the vision and this is where The Biggest Lollie Shop In The World was born.
Soon after the relocation to the larger premises, Paul introduced a huge range of candy from the USA along with even more party products. Paul was one of the first in Australia to combine party products and lollies into one huge superstore.
To date in 2022, Paul together with his wife Robyn and son Ben continue to own and operate The Biggest Lollie Shop In The World as a retail only business. Along side a successful team of workers to ensure that all of our customers needs are met with loyalty and commitment.
